At Lampo, we believe that your data is yours. This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to your privacy when you use the Lampo macOS application.

100% Local and Private

Lampo is designed from the ground up to be a completely local, on-device application powered by Apple Silicon. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data, conversations, or documents to our servers or any third-party services.

Data Collection

We collect absolutely nothing.

• No Telemetry or Analytics: We do not track how you use the application. There are no analytics SDKs (such as Firebase, Mixpanel, or Crashlytics) embedded in Lampo.
• No Crash Reports: We do not automatically collect crash reports. If you experience an issue, you may choose to manually share diagnostic information with us, but nothing is sent automatically.
• No Account Required: You do not need to create an account or provide any personal information to use Lampo.

Data Processing and Storage

All data processing happens entirely on your local machine.

• On-Device Inference: All AI model inference, text generation, and embedding creation are performed locally using your Mac’s hardware.
• Local Storage: Your conversations, indexed knowledge, settings, and personal data are stored exclusively on your device’s local file system.
• Data Deletion: You have full control over your data. Deleting your conversations or uninstalling the app will permanently remove this data from your device.

Third-Party Services

Lampo does not integrate with any third-party APIs or cloud services that would require sending your data over the internet. The application may optionally download open-source AI models from public repositories (such as Hugging Face) if you initiate the process, but this does not involve sending any of your personal data or usage metrics.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Since the app does not collect user data, any changes will likely reflect new features that continue to uphold our strict privacy standards. We will notify users of any changes by updating the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy.
